App for the Danish Developer Conference 2013

THE SETTING

DDC is Microsoft’s biggest conference in Denmark. DDC focuses on the newest technologies for Microsoft’s various platforms and aims to educate and inspire developers, software architects, and IT startups. Knowledge sharing is a core value for DDC.

During the event, participants gained insights about the latest trends within Windows Phone, Windows 8, Web, and Net & Tools. Mjolner helped make this easier. Mjølner designed and developed DDC’s official Windows Phone 8 app, which enables knowledge sharing during the conference. Using NFC technology, the app was able to verify the participation of the users, allowing them access to session content and additional information about the speakers.

SHARING KNOWLEDGE THROUGH NFC TECHNOLOGY

The app allowed participants to register before sessions by touching their phones to a poster. This enabled them to rate the session and share insights trough live-chatting. Using the micro-location technology, Near Field Communication (NFC), the app verified users participation, allowing them access to session content and additional information about the speakers.
