At the end of last year, it became clear to Silkeborg Data that Silkeborg L\u00f8n needed to move to a JEE platform supplier, as the existing one would no longer be supported.<\/p>\n

To get Silkeborg L\u00f8n up and running on the new platform before a strict deadline, Silkeborg Data needed more manpower and some technical assistance, and they asked Mj\u00f8lner for help.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

THE CHALLENGE<\/h2>\n

With manpower, technical assistance, and consultancy, we helped Silkeborg Data perform the migration part of the front-end of their wage system, Silkeborg L\u00f8n, from one platform to another within a short time frame.<\/p>\n

Silkeborg Data has more than 40 years of experience within salary- and personnel administration. At present, 28 municipalities, 4 regions, and more than 100 public institutions use Silkeborg L\u00f8n. The many users speak for themselves and make Silkeborg Data Denmark\u2019s most successful provider of salary systems.<\/p>\n

With a consideration of the users\u2019 needs, Silkeborg L\u00f8n is easy to navigate and effective. It was crucial to Silkeborg Data that the migration to a new digital platform did not inconvenience Silkeborg L\u00f8n\u2019s many users.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

NEW PLATFORM AND ARCHITECTURE<\/h2>\n

At the end of last year, it became clear to Silkeborg Data that Silkeborg L\u00f8n needed to move to a JEE platform supplier, as the existing one would no longer be supported.<\/p>\n

With the shift from Websphere Application Server 6.0 to JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 5.1.2, Silkeborg Data has achieved a sustainable platform, which enables Silkeborg Data to continue delivering prestine services to their customers.<\/p>\n

To get Silkeborg L\u00f8n up and running on the new platform before a strict deadline, Silkeborg Data needed more manpower and some technical assistance, and they asked Mj\u00f8lner for help.<\/p>\n

A total number of 17 people from Mj\u00f8lner stepped in to assist Silkeborg Data in their migration project.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Mj\u00f8lner was part of the project from the start and contributed by solving project management, architecture, development, and test management tasks.<\/p>\n

Testing played an especially important role as continuous quality control in the individual teams as well as on the general level was vital for the result.<\/p>\n

Due to great cooperation between the teams, determination, and a common goal, we moved part of the front-end of Silkeborg L\u00f8n System successfully from one platform to another. We even finished before the deadline. The move was gradual and easy on the users.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
