Say Hi To Our New Colleague
Kristian Sneskov, Data Scientist
We have added another position to our new department, Data Science, and it has been occupied by 33-year-old Kristian. Welcome!
Kristian has a MSc in nanotechnology from Aarhus University and a PhD in, put in simple terms, computer simulation of quantum mechanical phenomena for molecular systems.
Kristian started his career at Danske Bank where he was in the IT graduate program. There, he had a fantastic mentor who taught him a great deal about programming in practice. Kristian stayed there for a few years. Following, Kristian worked for Systematic for about one year as a full-stack developer.
Kristian decided to become part of Crisplant (today, Beumer) as a software developer. There, he worked on controller software for logistics solutions including various data science-related challenges. However, he felt far away from the customer. So after almost two years, Kristian thought it was time for a change.
Enter Mjølner! The position as data scientist is, as Kristian describes it, purely fun. It’s data science, working directly with clients, creating value for clients, and the perfect cross field of computer science, business understanding, and mathematics.
At Mjølner, Kristian experiences a high professional level and major opportunity for personal development. There is a different form of freedom at Mjølner, Kristian explains, where everyone automatically wants to create value for Mjølner and its clients. There is a lot of trust, he adds.
Most of his spare time, Kristian spends with his family. On that note, he adds that he really appreciates the work-life balance that Mjølner offers.
Besides family time, Kristian has a passion for board games – his favorite being Dominion. He also plays soccer from time to time and enjoys reading non-fiction, fantasy, and social science books. He is currently diving into Piketty’s “Capital in the Twenty-First Century”.
You can find Kristian on the 2nd floor of our building in room 2.07.
