Mjølner Informatics becomes part of Accenture Denmark
On October 1, 2026, Mjølner Informatics celebrated its 38th anniversary. On the same day, the company officially became part of Accenture Denmark. The occasion was marked across Mjølner’s five locations with traditional Danish birthday cakes and the unveiling of a new logo: Mjølner – Part of Accenture.
The acquisition was announced before the summer, and following the necessary regulatory approvals, the transaction has now been completed. With Mjølner joining Accenture, Accenture strengthens its digital engineering capabilities while further expanding its presence in Western Denmark. Around 400 specialists from Mjølner will become part of Accenture Denmark.
Carsten Sachmann, Country Managing Director of Accenture Denmark, said in connection with the announcement of the acquisition:
“We are looking forward to welcoming many new colleagues who will bring deep technical expertise in developing complex and business-critical IT solutions. Even though AI is currently taking on more and more tasks in our industry, we continue to see a need for highly skilled and experienced people. At the same time, we look forward to establishing an even stronger presence west of the Great Belt, close to both existing and potential clients among some of Denmark’s largest companies.”
New opportunities for clients and colleagues
Since its founding in 1988, Mjølner Informatics has focused on turning complex business and technical challenges into concrete IT solutions. There is therefore a certain symbolism in Mjølner beginning a new chapter as part of Accenture on the very day of its 38th anniversary.
Together, the possibilities are greater. Mjølner’s deep technical expertise and close customer relationships will be combined with Accenture’s broad capabilities across areas such as technology, transformation and business development.
“We see some very strong synergies between what Mjølner and Accenture each bring to the table. Mjølner contributes deep technical expertise and a close understanding of our customers’ day-to-day operations, while Accenture is particularly strong in strategy, business transformation and C-level dialogue. Together, that combination gives us a unique opportunity to take on even greater responsibility for our customers and support them all the way from strategic decisions to concrete technical solutions.”
It is not only customers who will benefit from the new setup. For Mjølner’s employees, the new chapter also opens up new perspectives.
“We love tackling tough technical challenges. We are driven by curiosity, deep expertise and the desire to solve difficult problems. As part of Accenture, our talented colleagues will have the opportunity to work on an even wider range of exciting and complex assignments and apply their expertise in new contexts.”
